Ellmore Completes Ballot Filing Process
Wednesday, March 26, 2008

8:57AM- Mark Ellmore and his staff completed the filing process on Wednesday by meeting with the 8th District GOP Chairman and turning in all legal documents required to be an official candidate on the ballot in the June 10th Primary.
Mark Ellmore and his team were required to gather 1,000 voter petitions, appear in Richmond to pay a filing fee, and have multiple documents notarized. Mark Ellmore is the only candidate at this time to have filed; therefore, he will be placed on the ballot first if another candidate decides to run.
"The hard part of the campaign is over, now we can enjoy the process. I have been honored to gain the trust of my fellow Republicans over the past 16 months. They know that I am the true conservative who will stand up for them in November"  -Mark Ellmore

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Mark Ellmore was given a tour of Walter Reed facilities in Washington by a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars this past Thursday. Mark had an opportunity to go down to the Malogne House to visit with troops and sit down with them for a few hours. Many of the men he met with were in their early twenties and several of them were learning to walk with prosthetics. "It is clear that our nation is the last free stand on Earth because of these men and women," said Mark Ellmore. Mark wants to thank the VFW for their hospitality in welcoming Mark Ellmore and his staff at Walter Reed.
Ellmore Kickoff Rally Draws over 90 Supporters
Thursday April 23, 2008

Mark Ellmore held his official campaign kickoff rally at the packed Babylon Futbol Cafe in Bailey's Crossroads on Tuesday evening. The room was jammed with distinguished guests and Republican activists. Former State Senator Jay O'Brien stated, "Mark is a great guy...we need to make sure we don't let him down." 2007 candidate for County Chairman, Gary Baise, was also a guest speaker.

The campaign raised several thousand dollars from attendees that came from all across the district. "Jim Moran hasn't done enough for us on national security, immigration, and transportation. I'm going to reach out to everyone and work hard for us in Congress. We already hear it now when we go door to door. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike appreciate my message and support my candidacy", said Mark Ellmore.

Many attendees commented on the level of enthusiasm present in the room, "This is easily one of the most energized campaigns in all of Northern Virginia and we are going to have to keep up that energy if we want to earn the respect and trust of our fellow constituents", said Daniel Tillson, Campaign Manager for Mark Ellmore.
